The Islip Board of Education recently accepted a generous donation of more than $500 from Brookwoods Restaurant and Lounge co-proprietors Marie Bello and Glenn Alba.
    As a way of showing their appreciation to their dining guests, patrons of the restaurant have the opportunity to select a school district or charity within the Town of Islip and a donation will made as a way of helping the children in the community. “On behalf of the children, thank you so much for your generous donation,” stated Superintendent of Schools Susan Schnebel. “We appreciate your commitment to our students and the community.”
    The donation will be deposited in the Islip High School Student Activity Account to benefit the Vocal Music Organization.
