The Islip Board of Education will hold a public hearing and regular business meeting on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Islip High School. It is anticipated that after opening the meeting the Board will convene into an executive session.

The public business portion will open in the auditorium at approximately 7:30 p.m., beginning with a public hearing on amendments to the Districtwide Safety Plan. The regular business meeting, including recognition of newly tenured teachers and administrators, will follow the public hearing. Paper copies of the agenda in English, Spanish, Pashto, and Urdu will be available at the check-in table in the lobby. In-person attendees also have the option to borrow a device to translate the proceedings into multiple languages in real-time.

The public session will also be live streamed via the Board's YouTube channel. Any questions or comments for the Board from those planning to watch the live stream may be emailed to DistrictClerk@islipufsd.org prior to the meeting's start time. A digital version of the agenda for this meeting will be available to the public at least 48 hours beforehand through BoardDocs on the District website.
