Islip High School’s girls gymnastics squad, a joint team with Bay Shore High School, finished in fifth place overall at the Suffolk County championships, held Nov. 1 at Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station.

Additionally, Islip athlete Isabella Field will compete as an all-around gymnast in the state championships next March at Kenmore West High School in Buffalo.

“Way to go, BaySlip!,” said Islip Athletic Director John Sparacio.
