The Islip School District is inviting interested community members to participate in our K-2 UFLI Pilot Committee for the 2025-2026 school year. This committee will meet around 5:00 p.m. approximately four to five times throughout the year to support the evaluation and implementation of the UFLI program.

Committee members will collaborate on activities such as:

• Reviewing the purpose and success criteria of the pilot
• Collecting and analyzing student performance data
• Reviewing feedback from stakeholders
• Comparing the impact of UFLI with existing programs
• Engaging in open and transparent discussion

Meetings are tentatively scheduled every two months to ensure we can make a data-informed recommendation by June 2026.
