The Board of Education approved the District-Wide Safety Plan for the 2025-2026 school in August. After this approval, New York State passed Desha's Law, requiring these plans to include emergency response protocols for sudden cardiac arrest events. Amendments to the plan incorporating this new requirement were reviewed and approved for recommendation to the Board of Education by the District-Wide School Safety Team.

You may read a draft of the amended plan through the link below, or request a copy by contacting the Office of the Superintendent. Any comments from the public about the plan should be emailed to DistrictClerk@islipufsd.org no later than Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

A public hearing on the amended plan will be held on January 13, 2026, prior to the Board of Education meeting scheduled for that evening.
