The Islip Board of Education will hold a Budget Workshop and regular business meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Islip High School. It is anticipated that after opening the meeting the Board will convene into executive session.

The public business portion of the meeting will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the HS auditorium. The evening's agenda will include a special presentation by Superintendent of Schools Dennis P. O'Hara, Ed.D. and the President of Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) Edward T. Bonahue, Ph.D., who will discuss an exciting new partnership to bring a college program to Islip High School. This will be followed by the first Budget Workshop for the 2026-2027 school budget, which will focus on state aid and tax levy, as well as proposed budget expenditures. Paper copies of the agenda in English, Spanish, Pashto, and Urdu will be available at the check-in table in the auditorium lobby. In person attendees also have the option to borrow a device to translate the proceedings into multiple languages in real-time.

The public session will also be live streamed via the Board's YouTube channel. Any questions or comments for the Board from those planning to watch the live stream may be emailed to DistrictClerk@islipufsd.org prior to the meeting's start time. A digital version of the agenda will be available to the public at least 48 hours beforehand through BoardDocs on the District website.

We hope to see you there!
