Dear Islip Students, Families, Faculty, and Staff:

While you are likely aware of our school calendar, I thought it may be helpful to provide you with a reminder that, in observance of Eid al-Fitr, Islip Schools are closed for students this coming Friday, March 20, 2026. Faculty and staff will be in school for a Superintendent's Conference Day.

Additionally, I invite you to the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Islip High School auditorium. At this meeting, we will discuss school safety and share the results of several surveys related to this topic conducted over the past several months. The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff continue to be our highest priority, and your perspectives and insights are valuable. I hope you can join us at this Board of Education meeting.
