Islip Honors 2026 Retirees for Years of Dedicated Service

The Islip Board of Education proudly recognized a group of dedicated employees during its recent meeting, honoring their years of service and commitment to the students, families and staff of the Islip School District as they prepare for retirement.
Representing Islip High School, James Coyne and Claudia Osorio were recognized for their contributions to the school community and the lasting impact they have made on generations of students.
From Islip Middle School, Richard Magale was honored for his dedication and service to the district.
The Board also recognized district employees Susan Hogan, Kevin Yenusonis and Mitchell Miga, thanking them for their professionalism, leadership and commitment throughout their careers.
In addition, the district acknowledged several retirees who were unable to attend the ceremony, including Ted Blanchard, Brian Burke, Michele Finlay, John Forster, Evelyn Murphy, Debra Ellensohn and Elaine Schmidt.
Administrators expressed gratitude to all of the retirees for the years they devoted to supporting the district's mission and helping Islip students succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
On behalf of the entire Islip School District community, the Board of Education and administration extend its sincere appreciation and best wishes to each retiree as they begin this exciting new chapter. Their dedication, service and positive influence will leave a lasting legacy throughout the district for years to come.
