Upcoming Board of Education Meetings - Week of November 9, 2026

The Islip Board of Education will hold a special meeting in the Islip High School Community Room on Monday, November 9, 2026. The meeting will open at 5:30 p.m., and it is anticipated the Board will immediately convene into an executive session for the purpose of discussing matters leading to the appointment of a particular corporation. It is further anticipated that no other official public business will take place before the meeting is adjourned.

On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, the Board of Education will hold a regular business meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Commack Road Elementary School. It is anticipated that after opening the meeting the Board will convene into an executive session.

The public business portion, featuring two presentations - "Growing Together: The CRES Story" and recognition of recently tenured members of the CRES faculty - will open inn the CRES auditorium at approximately 7:00 p.m. Paper copies of the agenda in English, Spanish, Pashto, and Urdu will be available at the check-in table. In-person attendees also have the option to borrow a device that can translate the proceedings into multiple languages in real-time.

The public session will also be live streamed via the Board's YouTube channel. Any questions or comments for the Board from those planning to watch the live stream may be emailed to DistrictClerk@islipufsd.org prior to the meeting's start time.

A digital version of both meetings' agenda will be available to the public at least 48 hours beforehand through BoardDocs on the District website.
