Community Council

The Islip School District believes that what happens in our schools impacts the community, just as what happens in the community impacts our schools. It is imperative, then, for the school district to build strong partnerships with our community’s organizations.

 

To that end, the Community Council was created to provide a forum where both district and community organizations can meet and share information and ideas. This group meets three times a year (usually in October, January, and April/May). After each meeting, the Inside Our Community is posted sharing highlights from member organizations.

 

If your organization does not currently participate in the Community Council and would like to send a representative to an upcoming meeting, please send an email with your organization’s name and representative’s contact information to kcarr@islipufsd.org.

Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Islip High School
