Transportation Information

The Islip School District transports approximately 3,300 resident students to 40 different locations every day.  The Transportation Office is responsible for coordinating district-wide services for those resident students attending Islip schools and non-public schools, out-of-district placements, special education settings, and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Bus routes and stops are designed to promote efficiency and safety for all eligible student riders and comply with NYSED guidelines and Board of Education policy.  All eligible students attending Islip schools are assigned to buses, and their bus passes are distributed to each student/family by their school building.  Information on routes and bus stops is listed on the Transportation Schedule listed below.  Questions regarding eligibility, bus assignments, route times and bus stops should be directed to the student’s school building.

Applications for out-of-district transportation are due by April 1st preceding each school year in order to ensure service.  Requests for “first-time” service require two forms of proof of residency.  Transportation schedules for private schools that utilize buses are also listed below.

Residents that have additional questions regarding transportation services should contact the Transportation Office at (631) 650-8275.

Bus schedule information is available via ParentSquare or by contacting your child's school building.

Information regarding access to ParentSquare is available through the Islip Ed Tech page, under the Parent/Students dropdown menu.
